The vibrant oils of Russian artist Igor Kashinsky are inspired by “the psychology of the music world.”
Igor explains it best, “the canvas is my writing paper and I am exploring unique ways to write my story. I seek to be true to my inner feelings. My inner world has changed since I begin to meditate. My conciseness moved to a new level of understanding of who we are, what is this physical reality we live in and I expressed these ideas on canvas. Everything in the physical universe is energy, which vibrates at different frequencies. We humans are a part of this Universal energy. Every human Being is unique and can be translated into energy form on different levels.
As a young boy I looked at everything as if it was already on the canvas. When I read fairy tales, I could clearly imagine in my head how each scene would appear as a drawing or a painting. As I grew, new ideas evolved and translated into my art. Studies at St. Petersburg’s Art Lyceum in the former USSR helped to express ideas in more professional way and fully enjoy my artistic freedom. The process of self-discovery was enriched by new experiences after immigrating to the Seattle area. The Jewish themes appeared in the paintings; something that I was not inclined to do in the former USSR.”
