“My work is about touch and color”
has worked seriously in mixed media and collage since 1985. She loves paper and always works in series, the current one entitled Metro consisting of painted paper collage with a bold, geometric and abstract focus.
Each piece connects to another by color, line and pattern, which she paints and embellishes on collage on paper, canvas and wood panel. Collages can vary in size from canvas up to 5 feet tall to ash wood panels (24×24inches) to framed works on paper with images from (10×10 to 30×40 inches). Some of her media also includes hand-made, appropriated, photocopied and recycled papers.
Nikkal’s works have been exhibited nationally and internationally. They can be found in both public and private collections in the USA, Canada, Mexico, England, Austria, India, Japan, New Zealand and the Republic of Singapore.
