Public art and paintings on canvas have been the focus of Tova’s professional life. Her work experience includes public and commercial murals, fresco and ceiling paintings in private homes, trompe l’oeil and restoration work in the United States and in Europe.

She has done installations of public art at the Nice Jazz Festival as well as at other international festivals in Italy and Brazil. Her largest piece of public art is a six-story mural off the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, NY.

Her site-specific installations have attracted the attention of the public, as well as the media, in the US, various European Countries, and Brazil.
When the Harrison, NY, Metro North train station was being renovated in 2001/2002, Tova’s design ‘Railways and Rooftops’ was selected for the fabrication and permanent installation of twelve panels in faceted glass, as part of the ‘MTA/Arts for Transit’ program.

In 2005 she was honored by the Westchester Arts Council in NY with the prestigious Arts Award for her outstanding achievement, leadership, and vision as an artist and educator.

Tova Snyder divides her time between the New York area, where she has a studio, and her home/studio on the Italian Riviera.
